Geelong Maternity Service Launches in April
The maternity service at Epworth Geelong will soon commence, as we welcome four obstetricians to the hospital.
Geelong Maternity Group, comprising Dr James Swan, Dr Michael Shembrey, Dr Jodie Benson and Dr Emily Huning, will move into Suite 3.3 over the coming weeks. From late April, Geelong Maternity Group will see their first patients who are at approximately ten weeks gestation. We expect our first full-term baby to be born in November 2017, with the first booking already confirmed.
Last month we welcomed Camille Gordon and Gabby Ryan to the pre-natal and post-natal nurse unit manager positions. Together with Lisa Garner, they will lead the recruitment phase and final set up of maternity services.
The first maternity tours commenced today, with tours held every Wednesday at 6pm and Sunday at 4pm.
